Fanuc Robots Setup
SUMMARY
This guide walks through connecting a physical Fanuc controller to your network as a first step toward Synapse control. Live hardware control for Fanuc is coming soon.
For supported models and specifications, see All Supported Manipulators.
Hardware Setup
Connect Ethernet cable from your PC to the Fanuc controller
Configure your PC network on the same subnet as the controller
Read the robot's IP from the iPendant (MENU → SETUP → Host Comm), then set a static IP on your PC in the same subnet, e.g. robot 192.168.1.1 → PC 192.168.1.2, subnet mask 255.255.255.0.
Verify connectivity with ping
bash
ping 192.168.1.1 # replace with your robot's IPEnable Remote Control on the iPendant Coming soon
Live hardware control for Fanuc is in development. Once available, enabling remote/network control on the iPendant will let Synapse drive the robot the same way it does Universal Robots today.
